Happy New year!!

How many times have you heard that statement? The basis of a “Happy New Year” is contingent on several things. The Apostle Paul stated it like this . . .

Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

The pattern God gives us for our life is stated above.

Forget the mistakes of last year . . . This means Repenting of them (Changing your mind, agreeing with God) and reconciling with those you have offended intentionally or unintentionally.

Progressing forward . . . This means diligently trying to follow God’s commands as contained in Scripture.

Some people live in the past with their mistakes, or the mistakes of others. Remember, Forgiveness is commanded but Trust is Rebuilt.

Make this year a good year by forgetting and pressing forward.

May you the best year you have ever had . . .

Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

We don’t know what the future holds, but we know Who holds the future!!

Blessings, Pastor Duffy
