I hope your week has gone well. School is ready to start and some of you will be involved in that. Pray for the transition as I am sure there may be some bumps in the road. I spoke to a School Resource Officer today and he was looking forward to it. He said he enjoys working with the kids and finds it fulfilling. That’s great to hear, isn’t it?
Life should be fulfilling and joyful. God instructs us to find joy from His Word. I presented a video today on our church Facebook site about spending time with God. Such a small thing like spending time reading the Bible for 5 minutes a day can help with Life’s struggles. It changed my life and started heading me in the right direction.
I hope you have opportunity to listen to the video and you find it encouraging. The Psalmist put it this way . . .
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
My flash light is a good friend when I walk at night. Without it, I might find myself stumbling around and even falling. The Light keeps us on the path.
Psalm 119:4-6 You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. 5 Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! 6 Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands.
I hope to see you Sunday, “BBQ” and bring a friend 🙂
Blessings, Pastor Duffy
P.S. Pick up a “Daily Bread” or “Upper Room” at church.
