2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I was encouraged as a new Christian to study the Bible for myself. Don’t assume everything you hear is Bible Based. Sometimes people will distort the Bible for their own gain or sometimes they will take Scripture out of context.
Some of my fondest memories were in Florida as a High School Senior reading the Bible with my “Coffee Milk” early in the morning before school. It was there I started learning about the Bible for myself. I knew nothing so every day I would see new truth. I studied the Bible not to be erudite or have book knowledge, but to be a workman. A person who is skilled in knowledge and action. A Workmen uses what they know to help others.
We read the words of Jesus and the Disciples to see how God wants to orchestrate our lives. Do you have questions about the Bible? Please feel free to write me, call, or come by and we can discuss it. Who knows, we may both learn something 🙂
