Happy New Year!! Debbie and I hope you have a wonderful year filled with many blessings.
Of course, with the blessings there will be trials. Coping mechanisms are tools we have available to help us deal with life’s difficult circumstances. Some I have found helpful are . . .
- God is Sovereign . . . He is aware of your trials.
Matthew 10:29 What is the price of two sparrows-one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.
- God loves you . . . He cannot love you anymore than He does right now.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
- God wants us to be Thankful . . . Be thankful for what you have.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Being thankful can be difficult when life seems to be falling apart around us. Yet it shows God we trust Him to work out the details .
- God wants us to Encourage one another . . . Let friends encourage you and help give you support.
Hebrews 10:25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
