Happy Autumn . . . I have to say, Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the colorful leaves and crisp air. I also like the smell of wood stoves burning. It’s refreshing and a time of change in the seasons. Growing up in Florida, I never really experienced it. Fall was a cooler Summer.

We often need a change of seasons in our spiritual life as well. It’s good to reflect and evaluate. King David put it this way . . .

Psalm 139:23-24  Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24  Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.Change can be painful and yet it can be highly productive. If our goal is to follow Christ we need to be spiritually transparent and open to change. It’s okay to fall down, but don’t stay down. God loves you and others need you. You are a valuable commodity in the Kingdom of God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6  Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

God wants your heart and He promises to take care of the rest.
Enjoy the Fall and look for ways to help others and keep your spiritual life vibrant.
