I hope all of you are starting to enjoy your Summer . . . It goes by quickly.
Some of you have gardens and will reap the harvest with some diligence on your part. That is a perfect segue to illustrate a spiritual truth. In order to bring your garden to fruition several principles must be initiated.
- Desire to have a garden and plan for it.
- Choose the right type of seeds to bring about the desired results.
- Cultivate your garden and make sure it has adequate water.
- Fertilize the garden for maximum growth.
- Don’t give up and be consistent.
- Call Manson Donaghey if all else fails 🙂
All of those principles apply to our Christian walk with God, right? Consistency, purpose, planning, and a lot of diligence.
God wants to use us if we desire to be used. Growth takes time but there will be a Harvest. Don’t give up!
Galatians 6 . . . Don’t be misled-you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. 8 Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. 9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone-especially to those in the family of faith.
Pray for a fruitful Harvest . . . Blessings, Pastor Duffy
