1907 | Dr. Weeks, local dentist, is first resident of Pembroke to own a car – a Mercedes. |
1920 | Lawrence F. Whittemore is elected Town Moderator. He presided over 25 Town Meetings. |
1922 | Mrs. Delia Petit, Selectman Gideon Petit’s wife, is first woman to vote in Pembroke. |
1925 | The town votes to purchase a fire truck with an attached pump. |
Our Church
1905 | Recognition given to Geo P. Little, Ladies Aid Society and legacies of Mary Whittemore Thompson and Emily P. Eayers for their contributions to renovations project. |
1918 | Church closed for 5 Sundays because of epidemic of Spanish influenza. |
1920 | Lightening strikes the steeple. $175 insurance reimbursement. |
1920 | Church is incorporated. |
