Good afternoon . . .
It is nice to see Flowers and green lawns đŸ™‚ Lawns and plants often reflect the effort we put into them. If left to themselves, sometimes they are not as productive as they could be. They need to be nurtured and cultivated to reach their maximum potential, right?
Colossians 2:7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. The verse above encourages us to invest our lives in Christ, things above and not just things on this earth. Just like a garden, we need to cultivate our spiritual lives.
I would like to encourage you to read Colossians 3:1-10 and ask God to guide you in developing your spiritual life. God’s Word can speak to us as we read and study it. Just like the flowers, we can bloom :)People are starting to get restless and weary as they deal with the quarantine. Maybe you can think of a way to encourage someone today and lift them up. Maybe a phone call or encouraging e-mail can lift someone’s spirit.
We are trying to develop ways for us to fellowship as we face this struggle together. Some ladies have started to meet in the Parish Hall (socially distanced) just to chat and maybe have some coffee. If you are interested call Sue Keefe and she can coordinate times.
A special thanks to those who served our country this Memorial Day. We appreciate the lives that were given to ensure freedom.
Blessings, Pastor Duffy
Hebrews 6:10Â For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
