Youth Groups

Youth Group Information

Our youth groups are divided into two age groups: a Junior High group called the C.I.T's (Chickens In Training) and a High School group called the Chickens (Children Happy In Christ’s Kingdom Eternal, Now Saved).

Your Youth Ministry Team (CE Team, Eric, Jodi, Rev Jim, Eileen) has been hard at work planning some AMAZING events for the coming months!

Download the 2010 Youth Schedule, but please understand that it is subject to revision as more opportunities come up or as the Holy Spirit leads us!

Please share this information with your parents so that all of your calendars have the same information on them! You will also find this schedule and plenty of other information on the Chickens Facebook page. You will continue to receive “reminder” postcards prior to most events, but don’t count on those--keep this schedule handy! You will also receive details of events prior to the event dates when necessary, along with permission slips or other forms. [Downloadable Permission Slip]

Some events will require prior registration, so PLEASE SIGN UP when necessary! Check the AWESOME bulletin boards in the Parish Hall for info, pictures, and sign up sheets. (Thanks, Eric and Jodi!)

Always feel free to call, e-mail, chat on Facebook, catch us in church with your questions, concerns, joys, news, prayer requests, ideas....anything!

IMPORTANT REMINDER!!!!! INVITE FRIENDS!!!

News Cast

This Fall the youth of the church will be creating the first ever news cast. That's right! Church news, school news, upcoming events, interviews and a whole lot more! We are looking for kids of all ages to be news anchors, interviewers and story writers. If you are interested please see Eric Pearson or Jodi Ehler for more information.

Mission Trip Information

Work campers prepare to leave for the 2010 REACH work camp in MaineEvery year we send a dozen or more of our Chickens youth group members and adult leaders on a week long mission trip.  The trips are coordinated through REACH Ministries International, a non-profit organization that provides service-learning opportunities for Jr. and Sr. High youth groups. REACH encourages participants to adopt a lifestyle of serving those in need in their home communities by providing them with the skills to impact their world for Jesus Christ. You can learn more about the REACH work camps at REACHWC.ORG. In July 2010 we attended a REACH work camp in Windsor, Maine.
