Imagine a Sunday school where kids are baking cookies, writing and acting in skits, performing science experiments, painting their own versions of Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and creating video projects, all while learning about Jesus.

Click here for more details (PDF). Sunday school meets around 10:20 AM every Sunday after Children's Time during worship.

Curriculum

Workshop Rotation
The Christian Education Committee introduced a new Sunday School curriculum for the 2007-2008 year called PowerXpress!®.  The format for the new curriculum is based on the Workshop Rotation Model.  The goal behind the Workshop Rotation Model is to teach the children of our church the major bible stories through kid-friendly multimedia workshops.  The workshops are taught by volunteer members of our church through Art, Drama, Music, Games, Puppetry, Story-Telling, Wood Working, Technology or other educational media.

Click Here (PDF) for an example of a recent workshop where the children created a newsletter titled "The Jerusalem Times".  The newsletter was created based on the events of The Resurrection.  Using a laptop, video projector and much creativity, the children compiled the newsletter and were able to bring home a copy of their work.
