Dr. David “Duffy” Johnson

Duffy Johnson has been involved in the pastoral ministry for many years culminating in Vermont where he helped start a church that he pastored for 25 years.  He was then asked to be the Headmaster of Concord Christian Academy until he resigned in August 2018. He and his wife Debbie have had a strong desire to go back into the pastoral ministry and the Lord led them to Pembroke. Duffy and Debbie were both raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and met at Florida Bible College in Miami. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.

George Bozeman

Music Director and Organist

George Bozeman, a native of Texas, began piano lessons at age 6. He majored in organ at the University of North Texas in Denton, after which he apprenticed as an organbuilder in Austin, Texas. Later, he worked in Albany and Dallas, Texas, as an organbuilder before receiving a Fulbright Grant to study at the Academy of Music in Vienna, Austria. On his return to the states he worked as an organbuilder in Andover, Massachusetts, before founding his own firm in 1971 at Lowell. The firm moved to Deerfield, New Hampshire, in 1976, and completed organ projects in over 20 states across the nation. Throughout his organbuilding career, George has also maintained a church music career, filling organist/choirmaster positions in Denton, Albany, and Dallas, Texas, and Woburn, Massachusetts, before coming to Pembroke. George has played recitals throughout the United States and in Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and Europe.
