Our Community

1907 Dr. Weeks, local dentist, is first resident of Pembroke to own a car – a Mercedes.
1920 Lawrence F. Whittemore is elected Town Moderator. He presided over 25 Town Meetings.
1922 Mrs. Delia Petit, Selectman Gideon Petit’s wife, is first woman to vote in Pembroke.
1925 The town votes to purchase a fire truck with an attached pump.

Our Church

1905 Recognition given to Geo P. Little, Ladies Aid Society and legacies of Mary Whittemore Thompson and Emily P. Eayers for their contributions to renovations project.
1918 Church closed for 5 Sundays because of epidemic of Spanish influenza.
1920 Lightening strikes the steeple. $175 insurance reimbursement.
1920 Church is incorporated.
