1800	Small pox vaccine discovered.
1804	Napolean becomes Emperor of France.
1812	War declared between Great Britain and the United States.
1814	Star Spangled Banner written by Frances Scott Keyes.
1821	First public high school opens – in Boston.

1804	Line established between Concord and Pembroke at center of Suncook River.
1805	The First Methodist Class formed in Pembroke
1816	“A remarkable cold season.” A frost every month of the year in many places in the state. Very little corn raised, with some being sold for $4 per bushel.
1819	Pembroke Academy dedicated.

1807	New Meeting-house built on the site of the present church.
1808	Reverend Abraham Burnham ordained as 4th pastor of the church. Salary: $500/year.
1813	Town votes to accept Rev. Burnham as Town Minister; to be paid by tax on poll and estate. He is to divide his preaching between the two churches in town.
1815	Congregational Society of Pembroke is incorporated.
