In 1969, a new worship form was introduced to the church. Although new to our church, worship through dance has been celebrated since Biblical days. (The scriptures tell us that “David danced for the Lord.”) Under the leadership of Joanne Drouin, an adult Sacred Dance Choir was formed and demonstrated to the congregation that worship really can be experienced through the art of rhythmic dance. For 14 years the choir has continued to participate in occasional morning worship services and in special services and programs in this church and in churches throughout the state.
