To all my new friends at First Congregational Church of Pembroke, I want you to know what a joy it is to become part of your community as your Interim Pastor! You are a loving and caring group of faithful disciples, a wonderful church family, and I have already greatly appreciated our times of shared conversation, laughter, and worship. Thank you for your welcome and for your hospitality.

As we begin this Interim time, it is good for us to remember that we do not walk this journey alone. God always walks with us, even if we don’t realize it in the moment. Meeting so many of you already, I have become keenly aware there is something special here. I can only name it as God’s Spirit that seems to fill your hearts with confidence and joy in Christ. How grateful I am for this.

Some of you have asked where I am from. I am from New Hampshire originally; I now live in Milford New Hampshire.   As a child, I was raised in the Roman Catholic faith tradition. I have been a member of the United Church of Christ for all of my adult life. I have three fabulous adult sons – Jason, Adam, and Joshua, and my loving partner Dennis.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Notre Dame College, and a Master of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School. I also have received formal training for Intentional Interim Ministry.

I have served several churches in both Settled Pastor and Interim Pastor roles in the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Conferences of the United Church of Christ. I now look forward to being your partner in ministry as we begin the work God will reveal for this church. I especially look forward to hearing more of your stories and sharing our faith! On that point, I hope you will let me know if you would like me to visit you. You can call the church 603-485-9639, send me an email (lindahey@comcast.net) or you can always reach me on my cell phone: 603-801-1177.

May God bless our new beginning!

Your Servant in Christ,

Reverend Linda C. Hey
Interim Pastor
